Hot and Spicy Chicken Wings
Some people prefer their Chicken Wings baked, others prefer them fried. These Wings are simple to prepare and cook. You can be adventurous with the sauce and they are simply delicious!

Cooking time: 45 Minutes
Ideal storage: Refrigerator for 2 days
Ingredients
Serves Four
12 chicken wings
100ml Shack spicy sauce
2 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and black pepper
1⁄2 tsp. Cajun spice
1⁄2 tsp. smoked paprika
Method
- On a chopping board, spread the wing and cut off the tip arm at the joint and discard.
- Cut through the remaining joint to separate the two remaining pieces
- In a bowl, add the salt, pepper, Cajun spice and smoked paprika, mix thoroughly
- Coat the wings in the spice and allow to marinate overnight
- Pre-heat the oven at F375° / C190° / Gas Mark 5
- Place the wings on an oven proof tray, place in the oven and bake for 40 minutes
- Remove the wings from the oven and allow to cool.
- Heat a deep fat fryer to 375° and add the wings, using tongs.
- Allow the wings to cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the skin is crispy, ensuring not to over crowd the fryer.
- Remove and place on a lined platter of kitchen towel
- In a sauce pan, add the sauce and bring to a low heat.
- Remove from the heat, add the wings and toss in the warm sauce.
